Loot Crate: June - Cyber

This months Loot Crate theme was Cyber. And I love Cyber things because I love technology and such (since I am going into Computer Science)

But anyways, I was surprised because the box was slightly differently shaped his time to fit some things.

And this is all that was in the box -

There was -
  1. The usual button and Loot Crate magazine
  2. An Exclusive Prime T-Shirt (djkopet designs)
  3. An Exclusive Terminator Genisys Endo Skull Replica (Chronicle Collectibles)
  4. An Exclusive Terminator Genisys Brain Chip Keychain (Chronicle Collectibles)
  5. An Exclusive Borderlands Zer0 Game Mat (Loot Crate Labs)
  6. An Exclusive Nerd HQ Sticker Sheet (The Nerd Machine)
  7. Future Replicant Corporate Logo Patch (A-B Emblem)
  8. Battlestar Galactica Cylon Target Poster Set (Quatum Mechanix)
  9. An Exclusive Glow-in-the-dark Circuit Gadget Pouch (Loot Crate Labs)
And that was it. I hope next month is this cool, if not better.

Things Everyone Should Do/Have In College

College is a time of exploration, both inside and outside of the classroom. So pretty much every student should learn about stuff, and so loads of other stuff, like these things.

  • Take a trip off campus and explore your surrounding area
  • Abuse all the perks and discounts you can get from a Student ID
  • Sit in on a class for the semester just because you're interested in the subject matter.
  • Join a club — or many clubs — and eventually run for a leadership position
  • Talk to your parents - they do love you
  • Make sure you understand your health insurance - you may get sick at college at some point, and your parents won't be there to help
  • ASK QUESTIONS!!!!!!! There is no such thing as a stupid question.
  • Spend a summer on Campus
  • Eat fruits and veggies - no scurvy
  • Get class projects done a week before
  • Develop friendships outside your circle
  • STUDY!!!
  • Learn the phone number for the counseling center - no shame in needing help
  • Read up on binge drinking and its negative—and sometimes deadly—effects.
  • Challenge yourself.
  • Take road trips. Many places are closer than they seem.
  • NEVER assume anything is ok or will work to your benefit.
  • Be nice to the department chair’s secretary. This is the person who handles a lot of your paperwork.
  • SLEEP. It’s good for you.
  • Stress is the enemy, so RELAX.
  • Treat your parents to something at least once before graduation.
  • When you are frustrated go to the gym and workout.
  • Remember your sense of humor.
  • Take some course outside your degree program.
  •  Experience new relationships. Be open to friendships with everyone you meet, including those who are ethnically or culturally different from you

Some things you should have include the basics. And also, basics include hygenics and some kind of cooking pot like rice cooker.

  • Nature Made Time Release B-12 Vitamin
    • It gives you steady, natural energy throughout the day
  • A 6 foot charging cord
    • How many times are you trying to use your phone while it’s plugged in and you can’t because the cord is just too short? How annoying is that?
  • Quirky Cordies Desktop Cord Holder
    • This little rubber contraption has been such a huge lifesaver
  • Brita Water Pitcher
    • Hear me when I say: dorm water is nasty.
  • Honeywell SuperTurbo Fan
    • It provides great, steady white noise and circulates the air, which was also a bonus
  • Clorox Disinfecting Wipes
    • You will go through at least one pack of these on move-in day, and then probably another tube a month for the rest of the year
  • 3-in-1 Detergent/Fabric Softener/Anti-Static Sheets
    • Just throw one in with your load of laundry and transfer it with your clothes into the dryer
  • XLarge Duffel Bag
    • It's able to fold it up small and store it for the year.
  • iHome Alarm Clock/Speaker
    • It’s not that much fun to wake up to BEEP-BEEP-BEEP every morning–sometimes it’s nice to have a smoother start
  • E-Reader
    • Buying textbooks is outrageously expensive, but downloading them to an E-reader is more reasonable
  • Hardcover Plastic Laptop Case
    • You won’t get scratches on your computer, but you can easily toss it into your bag as you head out to class.
  • Fitted Comfort Fill Mattress Cover
    • Obviously you’ll want a mattress pad for your dorm mattress, because obviously
  • Coleman Sleeping Bag
    • For weekend retreats, spending the night in a friend’s dorm, when a friend sleeps over, for laying on the floor watching a movie with your hallmates, weekend trips...

Now, if you're living off campus, try these things, plus the stuff above.

  • WearEver Pots and Pans
    • They’re super easy to cook in and keep clean
  • Ninja Blender System
    • It works super well, is an extremely easy clean up

And thats it. Hope it helps you college students out there. And soon to be college students, or high school students who are gearing up to be in college.
Work hard, and succeed.

PINCHme

So there is another free sample/subscription service that I just started using and I find it to be really nice. It is called PINCHme and yes, they do send you free samples. And you get to pick what they sens you. All you have to do is fill out a survey when you get it and you are more eligible to get more. But you can only get 4 samples per box, so there is some limitation.

They update their samples once a month on a Tuesday. At 12PM Eastern Standard Time. The Next update will be Tuesday, June 9th. Samples do run out quite quikly though.

So I thought I would share what I got in mine.

The first thing I pulled out was this Kraft Seasoned Crafted Parmesan Cheese. Thought it was worth a shot to try and to use on spaghetti or something.

Second was this Olay Fresh Outlast: Cooling White Strawberry and Mint Bodywash. Since I go through bodywash like its nothig, thought it was a good choice and there were no other available samples.

Third was this Gold Bond Healing and Strength & Resilience lotion. Like I said, samples go quikly and this was one of the only one that was left. They make my hands soft though.

Lastly, I got this. Playtex Sport Combo of 2 tampons and 2 liners. I have never used these before so, I will eventually. The tampons seem better suited to me because I am short and I am very little in comparison to many of the tampons that are usually made.

So there was a coupon for a dollar off an Olay Bodywash, a special $100 Wine Voucher for Naked Wines, and an ad for the Kraft Parmesan Cheese.
