Maven Clinic Review

I admit, I tried Maven Clinic because I had credits to use and I wanted to see if I had a possible health problem. And I am, like many other Americans, am uninsured (in terms of healthcare), which is very scary simply because I don't have the money to go to a doctor.

But I decided to try Maven Clinic out because I heard good things about them and I had several codes for my first appointment. So I built up a good amount of credits and what not, which their pricing is so much better than going to the MinuteClinic or the Walgreens Take Care Clinic. Prices generally go between, I believe, $14 up to about $70.

Plus it was super easy to book the appointment, and depending on the nurse practitioner/doctor, they might have a bio video which is about a minute long, it is actually nice to see what they're like beforehand, but they all have pictures etc etc. And most of the cancellation policies are the same, you can cancel 24 hours for a full refund.

So when I had my appointment, it had a reminder about 12 hours before, helpful. You'll have to go on the app (for right now, they only have it for iOS) or on chrome to get to your appointment. And essentially, you click on go to appointment and it'll set the video chat up and from there on, you can explain what not, the doctor/nurse will give the most likely prognoses, give advice and you'll be on your merry way. And for most general health appointments, it'll be 10 minutes. Plus you can get prescriptions too.

I have to say that the doctors/nurses on Maven are extremely helpful and nice. They're really wanting to help you with whatever it may be. And they're all certified, they all act professionally, and they write down what you say to keep track of what your prognoses might be (from my point of view, that's how it always is though so). Plus I can write on the forum and get responses from multiple doctors/nurses and see what they recommend, which is always really helpful to people like me, who have social anxiety talking to people. Plus in the note from the appointment has what they said and you can read it after the session, which is super helpful.

And when you do complete your first appointment, within 2-3 days, you should get an email with the offer of getting a swag bag, and that's awesome. So not only do you get offers of free appointments, you'll get a bag of goodies as well, which includes the bag, a pen, water bottle, notebook, a pin, stickers, and possible some other stuff.

But I would recommend women to use Maven because they are professional and helpful, and it is super easy to use and wonderful. I liked it and I will continue to use Maven because I believe in it.
